The first step in your migration application under the General Skills Program for Australia, as prescribed under regulations, will be an assessment of your skills. This is to determine whether you meet the Australian standard for the level of skill required to perform that occupation in Australia.

Some applicants for 457 Visas are also required to undertake skill assessments as part of their visa application. The difficulty that arises is the pressure from the sponsoring employer for the applicant to provide or meet a proposed starting date for employment can be substantial. Unfortunately most skill assessing authorities, like DIAC, have limited resources and there are frequently delays in processing. This adds to the stress the applicant is already under. We are often able to reduce both delays and stress. Call Us For Details

The Australian Government have appointed a number of appropriate official bodies to conduct the assessment process and issue documents that are to be submitted with all migration applications under General Skills visa subclasses.

These assessments are all stringent in their requirements and unique in their approach, according to the occupational classification.

Victoria University & Vetassess are two of the largest Australian Skill Assessing authorities, but many other professional institutes provide skill assessments for Australian Immigration. Some trade occupations now require a practical test or technical interview over live video link as part of the assessment process. Call Us for Details

All assessments levy a fee and again these differ according to the Assessment Body. Should the assessment not meet the criteria, they may be reviewed, with an additional fee being levied. This means that not only can a poorly prepared skill assessment prevent an individual from submitting a migration visa application, but can end up costing the applicant a substantial sum of money into the bargain.

We have consulted with a substantial number of clients over the years who would have failed in their bid for a visa, had they not been guided by us before submitting their skill assessment - like a tax return, once it is submitted, you can not pretend it did not exist ! With RPL - (Recognition of Prior Learning) - we can offer a route to clients whom have no formal papers to support their skills, and are able to offer a unique chance of migration to many applicants whom often feel that it is beyond their grasp - Call us for more information .
